This week’s challenge is written by guest blogger Michelle Parker. 🙂
Hi! My name is Michelle Parker http://moment2momentmichelle.blogspot.com/ and I’m thrilled to be guest writing for the 15 week “Stressed to Blessed” Challenge! I plan to incorporate an element of faith development into our challenges. I’m excited to be on this journey from “stressed to blessed” with you!
CHERISH. Last week our challenge was to pick a theme! Since January of 2011 my theme has been to CHERISH life!
To understand my theme, I want to share a little back story. In January of 2010 my husband, Mike, was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After two surgeries, he completed radiation treatment in May of 2010. While Mike began his recovery, my dad went into a coma due to complications from a heart procedure. For the next four months I spent countless hours with my dad at the hospital. Unfortunately, my dad did not improve and we said our final goodbyes last September. Obviously, 2010 was a horrific year.
SO at the beginning of 2011 a friend of mine encouraged me to go visit the website http://myoneword.org/ . That is when I decided my resolution was to CHERISH life. There are many ways to cherish your family, relationships, friends or even moments of time.
So this week, I challenge you to find a way to CHERISH life. It may be simple. It may be more complex. Do something that helps you find peace. Cherish your life and the lives of those around you. Make each moment count, don’t wait, act now. How will you CHERISH life today?
