Here we are on Ash Wednesday. As you may have read yesterday my two Lenten promises are 1.) Give up diet coke and 2.) Give up the scale. I decided to give up the scale because every morning when I step on it, I feel depressed, discouraged, and beaten. I was thinking that if God gave his only son for me, and loves me so much, does he want me beating myself up daily? I decided that he does not! So, no more scale for 40 days (sorry for the over simplification of theology 🙂
Anyways, I also mentioned in my last blog that a study has shown that women think 300 words a minute. And sadly, most of those words we are saying in our head are NOT positive. So, in partnership with my Lenten journey I decided to intentionally participate in thinking about POSITIVE words. Today, I decided I would share 300 words of YES!
Here I go…
– I am healthy and happy.
– I am getting wealthier each day.
– My body is healthy and functioning in a very good way.
– I have a lot of energy.
– My mind is calm.
– I radiate love and happiness.
– I am surrounded by love.
– I have the perfect job for me.
– I have good and loving relations with my husband.
– I have a wonderful and satisfying job.
– I am successful in whatever I do.
– Everything is getting better every day.
I am….happy, loving, giving, cheerful, joyful, peaceful.
I love. I simplify. I challenge. I believe. I hope. I care. I live. I am here.
Things that make me smile: my husband, my kids, sunshine on my face, wind in my hair.
I am grateful. I am thankful. I am blessed!
