Fourteen years ago today my life changed forever. I went from simply wife to mother. The sweetest baby girl was placed in my arms and I cried. Fourteen years ago…
My “baby” girl is now a high schooler. She will be facing the masses at KHS this fall. She will be a blur in a face of thousands. Or will she.
Madi tends to leave a wake of laughter and smiles everywhere she goes. She is so light hearted and clever in her humor that she keeps her friends and family laughing. She is kind, she is brave, she is smart, she is athletic, she is musical. Yet she is so humble.
Madi is a leader. Not the loud, obnoxious kind, but the strong, centered kind. She has compassion for all. She is creative and artistic and always up for trying something different. She is a dreamer with big pans for her life, and I know she will accomplish each one!
Madi is a giver. She generously opens her heart to share her love with so many. If it’s your birthday, you can bet she’ll bring you flowers. If you’re having a hard day, she’ll sit with you. She has gone above and beyond in her volunteering to the community. Over 200 hours in the last two years.
Madi is a comedian. No one can make you laugh like she can. And when she laughs she brightens the world.
Madi loves her church and she loves God. She wants to do what’s right, so sometimes she has to make the hard decisions…and she does it with grace.
This blog is for nothing else than for her. I love my daughter. I am so proud of my daughter. I am so blessed by my daughter.
She continues to do the hard things b/c she wants to show she can do it.
I know there are plenty more big things that await this adventurous teen and I will be the one cheering loudest by her side.
I thank God for the gift that was given to me 14 years ago today.
My Madi Lou!
