I spend a lot of time talking about being PRESENT; especially as a mom. The idea of being in the MOMent has never meant so much to me as a mom as it does right this minute… When my kids were little, I mean like diapers-and-naps- little, women would always approach me and say, “Oh dearie, enJOY this MOMent… it goes by so fast.” Many times I would look at them and be like… REALLY? REALLY?! … [Read more...] about Finding JOY right now. Here.

It’s Been Great, Northwoods!
Nine years ago I took a leap of faith and started working again. I had been a stay at home mom for 10 years. My kids were both well settled into their new school as second & fourth graders and so I decided I might like to find a new way to serve. I had been volunteering at my church, Northwoods Presbyterian, for about two years. I had found my way onto a few committees and various volunteer … [Read more...] about It’s Been Great, Northwoods!
28 days of love
This is not your usual "love" post... About a month ago, I was having one of those (seems to be daily) talks with my teenage son about getting things done, picked up, put away...etc.... New hopes. New dreams. New plans. First things first. I slept in... ahhhhhhh hello sleep! Then I got up ate a healthy breakfast and cleaned my room. Opened the windows (yes, I live in … [Read more...] about twenty twelve
I thought it was him, but maybe it’s me…???
I am one strong headed lady! I am Italian. I am an Aries. I am stubborn. I am passionate... I have a son. My son is one strong headed little guy. He is Italian. He is a Taurus. He is stubborn. He is passionate. Does this sound like trouble? I often laugh and tell friends that my daughter is the easy one, but my son gives me a run for my money daily! ha. I constantly wonder how I … [Read more...] about I thought it was him, but maybe it’s me…???
