Week 7 ~ making a WHO YOU GONNA CALL list

November 4, 2012 by Carmalyn

We as women, are a very complicated lot!  Yes?  yes.  We suffer, often, from the Paralysis of Analysis.  Over-thinking EVERYTHING!  Which then makes us feel like we have NOTHING.  Here's a great example of that principle... I walk into my jammed packed closet and feeling kind of ughhhh, I look around and realize I have NOTHING to wear!  Not A Thing... really?  REALLY?  A whole closet full and … [Read more...] about Week 7 ~ making a WHO YOU GONNA CALL list

Week 3 – an I ‘See’ You List

October 8, 2012 by Carmalyn

Last week at a meeting I was at, a friend shared a story about a woman racing into the restroom after her flight landed at the airport.  When she got in there, a woman was cleaning the floors.  The passenger greeted her with a friendly "Hello!" and then rushed into the stall to 'take care of business'.  While in the stall the cleaning woman shouted over the door, "you are such a nice lady".  The … [Read more...] about Week 3 – an I ‘See’ You List

Google is my friend

March 2, 2012 by Carmalyn

Recently I feel like I have needed to update my parenting.  We've had some "new" experiences come up as the kids continue to grow and evolve and as I continue to grow and evolve as a mom.  Whenever I am coaching moms of younger children I always remind them that when they stumble upon a new parenting event, it is so important to research to see A.) what is out there and B.) what is normal. This … [Read more...] about Google is my friend

twenty twelve

January 1, 2012 by Carmalyn

I love it. I love it. I love it!  NEW beginnings... not necessarily new resolutions, just new beginnings.  I love how everyone yesterday said goodbye to the old... and are ready to anticipate the new.  New hopes.  New dreams.  New plans. First things first.  I slept in... ahhhhhhh hello sleep!  Then I got up ate a healthy breakfast and cleaned my room.  Opened the windows (yes, I live in … [Read more...] about twenty twelve

Week 4 Challenge – Give a GEM

September 30, 2010 by Carmalyn

Today we enter week 4 of our challenge.  This week your challenge is to daily share a GEM.  What is a GEM, you ask… a Genuine Encounter Moment.  Let me explain.  Years ago I took a parenting class.  I don’t even think Jack was born yet.  One of my favorite things I learned in this class was the importance of sharing GEMs regularly. Now fast-forward 11 years… I am just one of the many … [Read more...] about Week 4 Challenge – Give a GEM

Week 2 Challenge – Pay it forward

September 16, 2010 by Carmalyn

Last night when everyone was asleep I was catching up on one of my cheesy tv shows I like to watch and a commercial came on for the movie Pay It Forward.  Did you see it?  I saw it a long time ago and always liked the idea of surprising people with gifts of gratitude.  Since we spent the last week writing down all that WE have to be grateful for every day I wanted to follow it up with expressing … [Read more...] about Week 2 Challenge – Pay it forward

I thought it was him, but maybe it’s me…???

June 20, 2010 by Carmalyn

I am one strong headed lady!  I am Italian.  I am an Aries.  I am stubborn.  I am passionate... I have a son.  My son is one strong headed little guy.  He is Italian.  He is a Taurus.  He is stubborn.  He is passionate.  Does this sound like trouble?  I often laugh and tell friends that my daughter is the easy one, but my son gives me a run for my money daily! ha. I constantly wonder how I … [Read more...] about I thought it was him, but maybe it’s me…???
