I didn't even have to think what today's blog would be about, it totally came to me! Before I tell you, let me recap the lessons I learned for this weeks blogging. In a nutshell, my lessons have been: 1. Be a connector with a smile! It's the simplest way to help put people at ease. 2. Let the youth shine by giving them opportunities to serve and lead! 3. Making new friends is a blessing and … [Read more...] about Lesson’s from the ship ~final day

Lessons from the ship ~ Day 4
We are on day 4 of our VBS experience. I promised I would blog each day about witnessing God's love in action at Northwoods Presbyterian Church. Today what really inspired me was the amazing volunteer crew that we have manning the VBS ship. Here it is day 4 and I KNOW they must be feeling a little tired as the week winds down, but you know what, you would never know it! Lessons from the ship ~ Day 3
Today is day 3 at our wonderful VBS (Vacation Bible School) at Northwoods Presbyterian Church. Today I was inspired by the freedom of friendships forming. I constantly wonder how I … [Read more...] about I thought it was him, but maybe it’s me…???
Death… I don’t like it
I am not sure where this blog will go, but today I wanted to write about my sweet father in law, Roger. Roger turned 84 last month and since I've known him, he has never been ill! His mother lived to be 103 as did a few of his aunts. He is an only child. We all just assumed Roger had another 20 years in him. God decided otherwise. About 10 days ago we got a call that Roger was admitted … [Read more...] about Death… I don’t like it
