Every now and then I find myself in pure wonder. Total awe. THIS is my life. This IS my life. This is MY life. This is my LIFE! (Sometimes I like to say my sentences like that and notice the different interpretations of each sentence π anyways…back to my blog π ) I am blessed. Right now I have a few moments between running around mom-style and waiting for my two fave kiddos to walk in the door. A few moments to sit. Not enough time to really do anything, and too much time to not do nothing. So I thought I’d take a moment to blog and Here I am.
On these days, in these moments, I stop and be here… I take stock of what is. This is what “is” for me: I have the best husband who takes such good care of me. I have healthy kids who make me laugh every day. I have amazing friends who help me grow and move forward. I have great parents who support my dreams. I have fabulous jobs with terrific coworkers. I am blessed. What about you? What βisβ for you RIGHT now?
Some days I forget to just stop and be here. But today, during the in-between moments of a busy mom, I am choosing to stop, to be and to say thank you.
On most days, my days just happen and they are done…Today though, in my moment of being, I reflect on the small gifts I stumbled upon on this most ordinary, plain ol’ Wednesday.
Today I got to take my kids to school and send them off smiling. I got to take my dog for a looong power walk that was good for her and me. I got to work with a coaching client who is doing great, hard work. I finally got to get this moppy head of hair cut, and joyfully ran into a dear friend and visit for a few moments. I got to pick up a replacement blind for our broken blind, and now my window looks great again. I got to catch up with my bff on the phone and I got to watch GLEE!
These ordinary errands usually wouldn’t make me smile, because we tend to just run through our days without truly noticing what is. But today, I get a moment to just be and relish in all that my life is about. All the small moments, the little details that really to add flash and flare to my life…even if it just the same ol, same ol. Today it all just feels brighter.
