Today we had our second day of VBS and as I mentioned yesterday, I plan to blog each day about the wonderful way I see God’s love on campus. Today it was our YOUTH IN ACTION!
There are certain milestones that our kids at Northwoods look forward to. And one of their favorites is definitely “graduating” from a VBS participant to a VBS Youth Worker. It is so fun to watch our Youth in Action during VBS!
This year they have really stepped it up and have been so cheerful, helpful and encouraging. We have music & dance leaders, game leaders, classroom helpers, shepherds and more. Watching them grow in their confidence and knowing that they have reached a new level has truly been a joy for me to witness. I am so proud of them. They are working hard, singing loud, praying proud, and really putting in the hours! What a great experience both for them and for the kids who are looking up to them. This week gives them the opportunity to step it up and be a leader to the younger generations.
It is so sweet to watch the younger ones just go gaga over the youth. It is like Christian Rock Stars on campus. Lots of laughs, giggles, high fives, and hugging. I love that at Northwoods we really put our mission statement into action… We are Christ’s Disciples, Celebrating God’s Grace, Creating Community & Making a Difference. This week I have seen our Youth step up and put our mission statement into action. Way to go N’Dub youth!
