This week as I sat down to write our challenge I was actually stumped…Then it came to me via chicken pot pie!
Let me back track for a moment. Yesterday on my day off, I decided to take it upon myself to move all of the Christmas decorations into the house and get started on the big task at hand. I spent the day unpacking and moving things around the house. By 3 o’clock, my back was spent. Luckily I had my new massage chair (compliments of my mother in law) to sit in every hour or so… but even so, I could barely walk by the end of the night. Today I went to work and still found myself fighting terrible pain. Ugh… time for dinner planning.. how was I going to fix dinner tonight with this pain?
Right before I headed to the grocery store, I popped on facebook to see what was new out there, and then I saw it!!! an offer of homemade chicken pot pie. Seriously??? My friend, KR, asked if anyone wanted one because her recipe made two. Uh, Yah I do!!! I kind of thought she was joking, but sure enough she met me and delivered the most delicious and beautiful pot pie!!! It had heart cut outs and everything!!
Part of me felt a little embarrassed but the other part of me (the part that was screaming ouch) said be grateful and accept the help. Yes. I knew what our challenge would be..
This week your challenge is to accept help! Don’t feel like you have to do it ALL yourself! Be brave and ask for help…or be braver and accept it when it comes your way. Sometimes we let our pride get in the way.. we feel like we have to do it all, be it all, know it all… You know what? I’m too tired to do that. SOOOO if an offer comes via facebook or another place for a free homemade dinner, you betcha I’ll accept the help. And I will be so grateful!
Remember this challenge is about being BLESSED not STRESSED. So during this busy, busy season…ACCEPT all the help you can get! enJOY>
