Good morning!! Last night I fell asleep with my laptop. I woke up with anxiety thinking about my to-do list and all I need to get done today. I had planned to post something last night for our weekly challenge. I watched my parenting class online and read a few articles looking for inspiration. Nothing popped out at me…I wasn’t inspired. But as life typically works…it just occurred to me! Keep the faith! That was what I needed!
In the hustle and bustle of the season, I have not spent much time focused on deepening my faith. I personally enjoy reading my bible or having a quiet reflection time in the morning but have failed to keep it a priority. This morning I challenged myself to stop everything else and spend a few minutes focused on my faith. I read in my bible and read two quick devotionals.
This week I want to challenge you to personally look at how you can develop your personal faith. As we prepare for Christmas, this is the perfect time to reflect on your beliefs and how that is a part of your everyday life. Let’s be intentional and make our personal faith a priority.
Here are few ways you can get started:
Read an online devotional (I like http://www.d365.org/followingthestar/ and http://devotions.proverbs31.org/)
Quietly Pray (Even if the only few minutes you have alone is in the car or shower)
Read in the Bible (If you don’t know where to start pick one of the Gospel’s- Matthew, Mark, Luke or John)
Write your prayers down, perhaps start a prayer journal.
Meditate
