This week our challenge is to go back to the basics. Did you know Christmas is a mere 11 weeks away! That is approximately 77 days. I read that the average person will gain about 1.5 pounds over the holidays from Thanksgiving – New Years. They say that people thought it was around 5-10 pounds, but apparently that is a myth. They also say (you know “they” as in the researchers online 🙂 ) that people usually do not lose this weight, which means that over time, one or two pounds can add up to 10 – 20 extra pounds. Yikes.
So with that in mind, and knowing we are in week 6 of our challenge, I thought I’d add a nutritional spin for this week. You can select which level you want to challenge yourself with. This weeks challenge can set you up for a healthier holiday season if you start slowly and you start now. So, take a look at these levels and commit right now to which one you will try. Then post it on our facebook wall as your promise to yourself. Remember, it’s really only a week for you to push yourself to do this.
Level One: Drink 8 glasses of water a day
Level Two: Do level 1 AND eat your veggies at lunch and dinner, 3-5 servings.
Level Three: Do level 1 & 2, AND eat two-four servings of fruit.
Level Four: Do level 1, 2,3 AND skip sugar on at least 2 days this week.
So what do you think? Are you up to it? Can you drink your daily water, eat your fruits and veggies and give up sugar for 2 days? I think you can. If you can’t do all 4 levels I have some cheats for you.
