We’ve spent the last six weeks thinking and shifting our perspecitive on how we can find more joy. How we can move from stressed to blessed. We’ve thought about our theme, about what we cherish, about what we are grateful for, how we can simplify our “stuff”, we’ve learned to laugh, cry and think…we’ve tried to find our flow… now it’s time to make a U-Turn and turn away from us and towards others.
This week your challenge is to GIVE BACK. Did you know that doing for others stimulates the release of endorphins, which has been linked to improved nervous and immune system functions. Research has also shown that the good feelings you experience when helping others may be just as important to your health as exercise and a healthy diet. The simple act of doing for others is one of the easiest ways to decrease your stress.
I challenge you to find different ways to make a difference to others. You have more to give than you even realize. You can give your time, information, talents, encouragement, acknowledgment, thoughts, compliments, kindness, smiles, love and money.
When you get into the habit of giving to others cheerfully and freely you will be practicing the most effective techniques for creating what you wish to have in your own life. Combine that with practicing gratitude and you’ve got a recipe for blessed.
