We as women, are a very complicated lot! Yes? yes. We suffer, often, from the Paralysis of Analysis. Over-thinking EVERYTHING! Which then makes us feel like we have NOTHING. Here’s a great example of that principle… I walk into my jammed packed closet and feeling kind of ughhhh, I look around and realize I have NOTHING to wear! Not A Thing… really? REALLY? A whole closet full and NOTHING to wear???
Well, I realized that it’s not that I have nothing to wear, but it’s more about nothing that fits that mood I am in right then. Maybe I should rearrange my closet to categories like:
~feeling bloated outfits
~feeling tired outfits
~feeling sexy outfits
~feeling busy outfits
etc.
If we know how we are feeling and we know what we like to wear on those type of days, our stress melts away because we clearly have an answer to a clear problem. Does this make sense?
So, I wanted to take that same idea and apply it to relationships. This week your Challenge to move you from Stressed to Blessed is to create a “Who Can I Call” list.
I want you to think this through. Each day pick a category or two of people in your life you can call if…
~You need someone to listen to you.
~You need someone to guide you.
~You need someone to shop with.
~You need someone one to snuggle with.
~You need someone to have a margarita and laugh with.
etc…
There are so many layers to our needs and so many people who fall into different layers. Perhaps you may call “Crazy Cassandra” for a margarita but not for a shoulder to cry on. If you know who you can depend on for different parts of what you need, you will immediately reduce your stress. So take inventory and look around. Who has God placed in your life and in what way do they best serve you? You may be surprised at how many people truly are on your support team. Share with us some categories you use.
