Ok, so you might look at the title of this weeks challenge and think… how will this week’s list make me less stressed… Let me explain. This past week, my sweet husband was on a mission trip in Havana, Cuba! He was gone 7 days. While he was gone I was thinking about all of the little things I miss when he is away. Little things that get lost in the everyday in and outs of life. Little things like…he puts out the recycle bin on Thursday mornings. or he makes sure all the doors are locked at night…or he turns off the porch light in the morning… Little things he does to show love. It got me thinking about all of the little ways he does things to make my life better. It made me smile when I started noticing all week what unimportant ways he brings JOY to my life.
So this week your challenge is to pick someone important to YOU. Maybe your mom, or sister, or best friend, or husband or co-worker…etc. Pick someone you take for granted and press pause…
Once you have that person in mind, write their name at the top of your list and then contemplate what ways these people make your life better. Remember, sometimes it’s the little, non important ~ often overlooked day in day out things. Once your list is full, make a copy and send it to your person. This not only will create JOY in your life, but you’ll share with someone that you do see them! (remember week 3’s challenge?). You will confirm to them that you do not take them for granted. That you appreciate all of the efforts that they put forward to make your life better.
