One of my favorite techniques to use when trying to start a new habit is a common habit tracker. Basically you put a checkmark
every day you complete your habit.

The idea is, As you see the check marks start to add up, you don’t want to break the chain and miss a day, which motivates you to complete another day.
James Clear of Atomic Habits, talks about how Jerry Seinfeld used this tracking system when trying to become a better comedian. Every day he wrote a joke he would mark it on his calendar.
After a while, the chain of checkmarks alone can inspire you to not break the chain and keep on going.
It is a simple yet powerful tool.
What habit would you like to start? The time is now!!
